Sometimes You Just Gotta Break The Rules.....

This week has been a rough week....
really the last couple weeks....

Seems like their is always something to do and more than usual.

As I get a little older those projects just seem to take longer than usual and sometimes hard to do especially when your only one person.

So the last week 2 weeks I have been watching my weight to get the few pounds I gained over the winter off to prepare for my cruise that is in 8 days and then my trip to Italy that is the end of  May...with that being said.... I haven't had any adult beverages as trying to be a good girl.

But sometimes you just gotta break the rules and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
It's been a rough week and I need a good unwind....after all tomorrow I need to finish doing some things at the old house to get it ready to go on the market...make my grand-babies Easter baskets up (a project that usually takes me 2 hours...I'll post pictures later and you can see why)  as we are having Easter early as I leave for my cruise Easter Sunday....get some food picked up and get my own house picked up a little....

....and if things go like they usually do something unexpected will be thrown in the mix....

I think I'll have 2 glasses tonight...I deserve it...Right?

Enjoy your weekend!

Celebrate Your Milestones

March 3rd
My Bestie Stacy celebrated her 50th Birthday.
We celebrated with her March 8th

All birthdays... especially ones where it should be all about you now cause you sacrificed so much through out the years raising your family and no time for yourself....
now it's time for you!
Fonda and I got together and we planned a surprised outing for Stacy with the help of Stacy's husband Albert.
We hired our favorite driver David and we went to Hockley to pick up and surprise the Birthday Girl.
When she came out of the house we surprised her with a big Happy Birthday shout and a banner.
Tho she knew something was up she didn't know what so it was a sweet surprise.

We had a wonderful dinner at Eddie V's and then out for drinks and dancing...a great night with great friends celebrating.

Happy Birthday Stacy and many more....
We love you!

Happy St Patty's Day!

I know it seems at times that all I do is party,,,,
and that really isn't that case....
I think it's more when I have the chance to do something I showcase it more than most....

and with that being said....
Happy St Patty's Day...and a reason for a party!

So, this night it was Luke Bryan at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo...
and I got to spent the evening with 3 of my closest gal pals...
and it was WONDERFUL to see my girl Kelley as I hadn't seen her in awhile....
her mother was in a bad accident in December and has spent all her extra time and then some being with her.

So...now I'll share a few pictures from a great night....

We had a little pre-party ...really it's just a gathering but pre-party sounds more fun...anyway, we met at my house...
it also was a good time to take our St Patty pictures....
I love picture props...

and then David our driver arrived....so  Fonda, myself and Stacy headed out to pick up Kelley on our way.
and then we are all together
Kelley and I...
it's always so much fun being able to enjoy our visits with our great driver at the wheel...
hanging out in the lounge area before taking our seats to watch rodeo...
Fonda and I were the only ones that stayed in our St Patty's garb the whole night....
don't cha just love Fonda's headband?
I love it!
and then our picture with the Ferris Wheel in the background.
Such a fun night...Luke Bryan was fabulous...put on a good show....he's on my list to see this year when he heads back to town for a regular concert...
I'll be there...cause...
That's My Kind of Night!

Are You Ready To Rodeo....

Rodeo in Houston is a
Big Deal.

We have the World Championship BBQ Cook Off to start things off.
Then we have rodeo with all it's many other things going on and we also have star entertainment.

If you like you could spend just a couple hours, a whole day or even a full month enjoying
The Houston Livestock Sow and Rodeo.

First off was sponsor night at cook off.
Something that usually takes a day or 2 to recoup from.

Below is myself with friends Stacy and Teri.
Once BBQ was over it was rodeo time.
First rodeo I attended was
Ladies Night.

Reba was entertainment for that evening.

It was a great time with friends...
left to right...
My oldest daughter Jenn who so kindly took my friend Kelley's place who was unable to attend, my friend Mary, Anna bell, myself, my fav limo driver David then Stacy, Teri ad Fonda.

Next rodeo was Fonda's treat...we met at Fonda's house.
Fonda had a meet and greet that night with Jason Aldean so we had to make sure to leave in plenty of time.

Took awhile to get there with traffic and all but we made it just in time for her meet and greet.
Next rodeo....
Fonda and I go solo....

We went a little early and did a little shopping at rodeo and then we went to the wine garden to claim a seat so we could enjoy so time in the wine garden having some wine and listening to some good ole' country music.
Good thing we sat down around 3:30 and had a bite to eat because come 4 pm the place started filling up....at 5 we could start purchasing the wine.
Myself and Fonda enjoying the winegarden.
We left in time to see a little rodeo and then see Marron 5 as the nights entertainment....they were really good...I think I will need to go and see them in a real concert setting...after all it's almost concert season again (lol)...

Always a great time when you share fun times with
GREAT FRIENDS ....
and making fun memories..

Now I only have one more rodeo to attend...I don't know how people do this every night.
Until then....
