July Mini Vacation

During the month of July I took Hayden, Colton, Tayler and Tammy to San Antonio where we stayed at a cool hotel with a water park and we visited Sea World..

Needless to say...it's Texas...it's July...it's hot
next visit will be the spring or fall but it still didn't keep us from having a fun time.
we saw a couple shows...one was Shamu...we sat in the splash zone...I think they need to rename it the soaked zone....the kids laughed so hard afterwards.
And we were soaked.
Everyone loves a Merry Go Round
above....Tammy and Colton on his first big people roller coaster...Hayden, Tayler and myself went to the Sesame Street water park playground
It was a fun time getting away with the kids....hoping to do something over Christmas break before they go back to school if they don't already have plans.

Happy 4th of July

Today the grand-kids came over for a swim...
it was a nice hot day to be in the pool...we had a a lot of fun.
My 3 handsome Grandsons
Colton, Noah and Liam
Jenn had to leave early to work in Fulshear at the parade so I kept the boys.
Once Tammy and the kids left Noah and Liam layed down and had a snack and to watch Disney Jr.
Before Mickey Mouse was over Noah fell asleep with cookie in hand and mouth.
poor baby played hard in the sun and water.

Easter 2014

This year we celebrated Easter at my house but a week early.
I was leaving on a cruise that left Easter Sunday and I so love doing a egg hunt for the grand-babies that we just did it a week early.

Of course as for all egg hunts we had planned to do it outside but we had some rain move in and made everything nice and wet that we did it inside.
Wasn't my favorite choice but the kids didn't notice at all...they still enjoyed rounding up their eggs and filling their buckets to the top.
First we had lunch and then we had our egg hunt and opened our Easter baskets.
It's hard keeping up with 5 children and getting their pictures and watch what they are doing.
For some reason this year I didn't get a lot of pictures and half weren't that good.
I will have to pay attention more next time or have someone else be the picture taker with my camera.
Above Liam with his bucket of eggs and below Hayden and Liam having some Easter fun...
I love that picture
My oldest grandson (and child) seeing what treasures awaits inside his eggs
and my pretty princess Tayler looking for treasures as well
Hayden with her Easter basket of goodies, another one of my princesses
Noah finding treasure...he loved the eggs with money...when he got the dollars he would hold it up and yell dollar dollar
I didn't know how many eggs had dollars in them as I  just filled them as I had dollars and surprisingly enough all grand-babies collected around the same amount of money within just a couple dollars...so that worked out nicely...this was the first year that I had money to the eggs and it was a hit.
I hadn't done it before cause I didn't think they really grasped the idea of the money but this year they all did...so money eggs it will be!
Tayler above and Liam below opening up their Easter baskets
Colton getting ready to open his basket but Muggy must take a picture first
and Hayden opening hers as well...what goodies will they find?
Noah all done with his basket and now sitting in his ...they are a good size basket...nice and big and holds a lot as you can see by this 2 1/2 year old.
After a little visit it was time for everyone to leave and then the house became....
QUITE!
I love holidays with the grand-babies....I wanna soak up as much as I can...
Just love them!

Let's Wrap Up 2013

It's been awhile since I've blogged...had issues with loading pictures to my computer and we know all good stories need some pictures...
and of course life, sometimes it just gets in the way.
So, I'm gonna try and remember and recap the end of 2013 so we can catch up with 2014.
First off...
I moved in October.
I down sized and bought a house with a pool...lots of summer fun on the menu this summer
I will need to show you pictures of the front of the house now...below is what it looked like when I bought it but i have had things ripped out and replaced...a landscaping makeover.
But, I love this home...I feel at home here....the other house was just that...a house.
Haven't felt home anywhere since Todd's passing and now I do.
It's a nice feeling.
And then....I had some girl outings withe girls over the holidays and shopping.
Got caught up a little in it all but it was a nice feeling.
Josh graduate from school so he could become a mechanic with Ford.
Tayler had a part in her Pre-School program

Then we had Christmas at my house...I so enjoyed it...I love when my family is all together...especially the grand-babies....I think it's very important they have that cousin bond.
This year we had a system going on how to open your presents...it worked pretty good and everyone was able to watch without it being so cray and missing something.
They all sat patiently while each child got a gift to open and once they all had one we said go and they opened...then they showed their presents to their parents and got ready to open the next one.
Noah was so cute...when he was done with each one he would say...
More Please!
Above going clockwise is Jenn and Paul...Tammy, Kyle Tayler and Colton...
My brother John and myself, I think this was the first Christmas we spent together since I moved away from home and he was still in school.
And then Josh with his girlfriend Christina.
I received 2 very special gifts...the first from Colton and Tayler...they made me  frame with the palm trees being Tayler's hands and the trunk being Colton's thimb print...they glued shells around the frame...the picture is of us when we went to Florida last summer and took pictures along the beach.
And then from Liam and Noah I received a plate that had their feet stamped on it turned in to butterflies with my saying I say .....
Love You More!

Such sweet gifts that both made me cry.

A "Grand" Weekend

Had a Grand weekend this past weekend
I got to spend the whole weekend with 5 of my most favorite people....
The Grand-children!
Friday night we had a sleep over...these were the first peeps to stay over in the new house.
I bought Spider man and Princess sleeping bags and they camped out in my room and we ordered movies.

I didn't have Noah, I felt I already had my hands full with these 4 but soon his day will come for a sleepover with all his cousins.
I had Hayden for the whole weekend and Colton and Tayler  Saturday while Tammy had training... Jenn and Paul invited us to join them to a trip to The Oil Ranch.
The Cousins had fun continuing their time together.
The ran around, they played...it was a great time.
On our way out we stopped at the Pumpkin Patch and they all picked out their pumpkins.
Hayden didn't want to take hers home when she left, she wanted me to keep it at my house.

And then on Sunday we all attended Disney On Ice... Jenn and Tammy joined us as well.
Disney On Ice has become a annual thing for us, it was our 3rd time to attend.
It is something I look forward too and love experiencing with the grandchildren.
And it was Noah's first time to join us.
He loved it and was very good and entertained the whole time.
As you can see by the pictures he loved the cotton candy.

At the end of the show the characters came by and shook hands with the children.
One of the perks of being front row plus it helps keep young children focused.
They loved touching hands and waving with them.
Then it was over and time to head home....Jenn and the boys left in their car, I took Tammy and the kids home and then took Hayden home.

I was a tired Muggy, Grams, Grandma but I had the most Wonderful time spending time with my babies and knowing they had a wonderful weekend.

A Day At The Circus

July 18th
The day before we left for our Florida vacation I took the grand-babies to the circus.
We had such a good time....even Noah did good...it was his first time with us to an event like this.

Some even liked it better than our Disney On Ice outings.
Popcorn always helps you enjoy a show a little more.
Above: On a high wire  there's a motorcycle and 3 acrobatics...a little freaky since they were right above us riding the motorcycle from one end to the other.
Above: our seats allowed us on the circus floor for a portion of the show...pretty cool...
And in that bottom picture you can see us all as one of the clowns took my camera and took our picture and pictures of other people as well.

And below the cutest grand-babies there ever was!
Happy Grand-Babies
 A little of the show
to me the most amazing was 8 motorcycles in that round metal ball all going a round and a round and a round.

A lovely day out with my 2 daughters and all 5 of my grand-babies.

A Pirate's Life For Me...Day 6 of Our Family Vacation

This morning we set sail towards the Clearwater Marina to catch a ride on

Today was an adventure for a little pirates.
We were all greeted by the ships pirates and had pictures taken.
We were all given our own pirate hat.
 Above: Hayden, Tayler and Noah
Below: Colton
 Below: Liam
I think the kids were in awe of the ship...it was pretty cool....the crew was very hands on with the kids with lots to do on our 2 hour sail.
Below: Tammy and Family: Kyle, Colton, Tammy and Tayler
My cousin Lonnie joined us on our pirate adventure...this was one thing I wanted to take all the grandchildren to do..they .had lots of good reviews and they did not disappoint.
Time for the  pirate games to begin...all children (and some adults) were given water guns that looked like a gun that was used back in the pirate days.
They went around shooting the bad pirates and had a great time.
They were all sad when their guns finally ran out of water.
Above: Liam squirted by the pirate girl
Below: Tayler squirting the pirate girl...maybe she was thinking, that's what you get for getting my cousin

Below: Hayden having her turn at the squirting...
I think I got squirted a few times myself
Noah joined in on the fun but when he ran out of water he couldn't figure out where it went
Time for a good ole' pirate story
All the grand-kids listened to the story being very well behaved...the story teller did a good job keeping the children's attention
and of course every good pirate story ends with finding the treasure
Colton waited to receive his treasure without pushing through the crowd of kids and the pirate told him what a good and patient pirate he was to wait for everyone else to go...Colton so liked the praise we received.
And Noah having his pirate snack...every good pirate needs his snack
then it was time for the little pirates to look like pirates with some facial hair...it was face painting time...Hayden and Liam didn't want any part of having their face painted but Colton and Tayler were more than ready and Auntie Jenn joined in the fun too.
Arrrgggg... A Pirate's life for me....
Colton and Tayler with one of our ship's pirates
Jenn and Family with another one of our ship's pirates...
Paul, Jenn, Liam and Noah
Josh and Hayden enjoying the nice breeze off the water during our sail
 another pirate game....musical chairs...
and then it was time for the dance off and then a conga line
and then we ended with a limbo...
our pirate adventure has come to an end...what a great time we had...everyone from the kids to the adults enjoyed our time out to sea...lots of great memories.

Then it was time to get back to the house, clean up a little and us girls, Jenn, Tammy, my cousin Lonnie and myself headed over to
for the most wonderful massage any of us had ever had.

Seriously...it was that good.
It was funny cause before we went in Tammy had asked if we were gonna have women or men do the massage and Jenn said she didn't know and I was like I don't care as long as it's good and then the discussion was with or without panties and I'm like without cause I need my glutes  done real good cause I have a lot of issues there....so we laughed and me being who I am made lots of comments.
Can you even imagine my friends? ....lol

So we are relaxing when the a lady comes in and calls Jenn's name and a guy comes in and calls my name...we all kinda laughed...those who know me know why...lol and off we went.

When it was all over I felt so good and relaxed...we had 80 minutes and that went by way too fast...next time it has to be 2 hours.

So when it was over and time to go back in the relaxing room I opened the door and all the girls were already back in the room, once the guy left I looked at them and said
I haven't been touched liked that in 7 years...
My girls thought that was gross...
Tammy was like, did you say that to him....lol....the answer is NO, I didn't want to be that person who got thrown out for sexual harassment...but you know I had a good time with my stories.

Time to head back to the house and chill for awhile...that evening I was to watch the boys while Jenn and Paul went out to dinner at The Sandpearl.

I think it rained that evening.
