Kelley and I headed out to see my man

KID ROCK

 Destination...Beaumont, Texas

 I had to go...only an hour and a half away...if he was coming to Beaumont surely that meant he wouldn't make Houston this year...so I had to go.

 We had 10th row aisle...closest to the stage right at the end of the cat walk...he spent a lot of time there but no matter where on stage he was we had a great view.

It was a weird, mixed crowd...after all we were in Beaumont...lol...(sorry) but in great Kid Rock style he put on a GREAT show!

 Our drive home was good until I dropped Kelley off at her car and had to make the rest of the 30 minute drive home alone...I hate night driving.

 It was a great night with a great show and a great friend!

Oh...and I was wrong...Just because Kid did a show in Beaumont doesn't mean he won't make it to Houston...Last week I got an email stating 10 cities have been added to his tour and Houston is one of them...just the dates have not been released yet...and fingers crossed he doesn't come when I'm gone on my summer vacation...that would suck...

Oh well...if so...we had Beaumont.

Happy Birthday Bailey

Today my Bailey celebrates his birthday....not actually his birth birthday but the day I got him at a little over 3 months old.

So here's to you Bailey...you sure make life interesting and not boring.

Honey Bee...

Last night Fonda and I headed to rodeo...

we were going to see Blake Shelton (aka Honey Bee...because of his song Honey Bee).

We loaded up in the limo and were on our way...about 5 minutes away from being at rodeo I realized

I FORGOT THE TICKETS AT HOME!!!

Normally this would of not been a big deal but tonight I had a meet and greet and had to pick my instructions up at will call and didn't know what time meet and greet was.

Guess what? I made it!

Such a handsome man. He put on an excellent performance at rodeo but it ended all too soon.

I still have catch up blog post to make but just wanted to get this on out of the way.

Happy Birthday To Me

Really....the Birthday was in January but remember...

I'm behind in blogging.

I wanted to do something for my birthday...you never know how many more there will be...so I decided to something different....

Painting With A Twist.

Had a blast....called up a few friends to see if they wanted to join and we had a group of 15.

I wanted everyone to have fun and not have to worry about drinking and driving cause that is a NO-NO...so we ordered up a Hummer and let someone else do the driving.

 Above is our group minus 2....we were on our way to pick up Tammy (my daughter) and Jennifer (my daughter) went ahead to the painting place to set it up with snacks and such.

 Above with one of my favorite people...Fonda...no birthday celebration would be complete without her there celebrating with me.

 My cousin Cheri (who is actually married to my cousin but makes her my cousin all the same) flew in from Florida to help me celebrate....her and my cousin Lonnie flew in for the weekend so it was WONDERFUL having some girl time with the 2 of them.

 Another one of my favorite people....my good friend Kellie and my past neighbor from when I lived in the country...miss her being across the street from me everyday.

 And above my beautiful cousin Lonnie...such a special person in my life and my Italy travel partner

Missed Me?????

I can't believe it's been 2 months....yes...

2 MONTHS!!!!!!

since I last posted. Something happened with my lap top and I couldn't figure out how to load my pictures to my lap...

My brother is in town and THANKFULLY he was able to show me what to do...no grant it, it's a newer way of doing it so once again I have something new to use on the computer but at least I can now do some much needed blogging with pictures .....after all, pictures help tell the story.

So for those of you interested be on the look out this weekend as I try and play catch up on my blog.

I Can't Wait To Be On The Road Again

I've been in the process over the last couple of weeks when I find a quite moment to research my next trip Italy.

This time will be spent along the Amalfi Coast...with our home base in Positano.

Not too long along I saw a facebook post from Exciting Photos and there was a picture of the coast line of Positano. It was beautiful so I had to investigate.

Needless to say...I fell in love.

So my first thing to do was to find the place. We (my cousin and I) knew we would go around Soring of 2014. I looked at hotels and then decided to look at Villa's because of a review I had read from someone.

This seemed the way to go...you had your own place...all the comforts of home...and the cost believe it or  not was cheaper than an average hotel.

As soon as I saw this place I fell in love with it.

Can you see why?

 I knew this is where I wanted to be with a nice glass of Vino in my hand.

 This trip was going to be more of a relaxing vacation...we would still do day trips and see the town and surrounding towns but still take time to relax and soak it all in and when I saw the views and reviews from this place I knew this was the place. I haven't shone you any inside pictures but trust me...it's just as beautiful.

 I contacted the owners...June was taken (and this is for 2014...they are booked this year through September)...I asked about May and most of it was available...I wanted 10 days, they rent from Saturday to Saturday...I could get 10 days but would cost me the same as a 2 week rental so I opt for a week.

 I then get an email...she has another client that wants 10 days instead of 7...our 1/2 week is shared with their half week taking up a full week...and the best thing is, we got a discount rate to do so, so we won and so did the owners, they don't miss any rental days cause that week is full, that would of been the reason for the higher rent cause most people just rent for a week.

It was meant for me to be on this terrace, in this city, over looking this hillside cliff town and the beautiful coast with Capri just a short boat trip away.

I guess sometimes planning ahead pays off...but I know it will be here before I know it...and I can't wait...I have fallen in love with Italy and can't wait to see this side of it.

Now I'm just waiting for February 21st and I'll be on my Grandma's Gone Wild annual trip...destination...Key West.

I was meant to travel...I need to start doing more of it...just need a travel buddy.
