Doing last minute touches to get ready for the weekend. I'm off to San Antonio for a little play time with friends. Man, am I ready!
Bailey will be doing time at Petsmart...he'll be boarded while I'm gone. His first time to stay there over night but I'm sure he'll be fine...hope so anyway.

Did I Say Busy?
I finally got some pictures uploaded so I'll share a few...sorry I have no recent ones of Tayler but I'm sure if you check out Tammy's blog or Facebook you will find plenty.
Needless to say..."busy"...is an under statement....or when it rains it pours.
Anyway....
I've been in the process of packing up my house as though I'm moving. Getting ready to have a remodel done. Today I picked out the last items I need...granite for counter tops and tiles for bath/showers. So many choices to choose from...it can be a little overwhelming. The work hasn't even started yet and I'm already ready for it to be over with.
I'm preparing to leave town Friday. I leave for San Antonio with friends. Can't wait! Desperately in need of some play time.

As I Sit
Morning!
I have already taken Bailey out to play....had a cup of coffee and cut some huge grass like vines that grow in the ground and took them to the dunes to catch the sand and worked up a little sweat while I was at it too and all before 8 this morning.
Now I'm on the deck....Bailey is relaxing and I'm on my lap top. The breeze is wonderful. The sun is out in full force but with the breeze it makes it perfect where I'm at.
I'm waiting for someone with Center Point to come out. When I arrived yesterday I arrived to an electric line that runs from a pole to the meter pole very loose. Not on the ground but hanging about 4 feet from the ground. Both sides are still attached but something most of broke for it to be hanging. Hopefully they will be out before I leave this afternoon ..... I would like to make sure the problem isn't a problem any longer.
There's a shrimp boat out in the Gulf, he's been trolling for sometime this morning...hopefully he's doing some good. Maybe that's what I should do...be a shrimper!

Center Point has come and gone....he fixed the line so it's not hanging low but said he was going to turn in a order to have the whole line to the transformer replaced...he said it's been sliced so many times in other words, quick fixes) it needs to be replaced....so the order is in.... now the wait...he said he couldn't say how long it would take but that I'm on the list. He said if I have any power issues that's why and asked how the power was now. Now it's fine but we had that issue fixed prior to the 4th which I'm assuming was another sliced fixed...ha....I just don't want any issues. I'm not a person that is fond of issues.

Another Week Gone
It's been awhile since I've written and I ask myself why? Have I been that busy? Is there nothing going on? Not in the mood? Maybe all the above. There are times I feel so busy and then I feel like... busy? How can I be busy...I feel bored. But I guess I've been some what busy.
Last night I had drinks with an old friend of mine. She was actually my maid of honor when I got married. Some where down the road we just lost contact. I'm sure it was my fault with 3 children and a husband ...I was busy raising my family. But last month I joined Facebook and was reconnected with her. We've been out twice and each time picked up right where we left off...it was great! I'm going to make sure this time we don't loose each other.
Today I had lunch with Fonda....I also picked up boxes from her work as well. This weekend my goal is to start packing. I've done some but not what I need to. I'm have some remolding done soon and I need to pack everything up...really...I'm getting rid of 85% of what is in my house...it's time for a new start. Here pretty soon I'll be having one hell of a yard sale. Interested?
In 2 weeks I leave for San Antonio for the weekend with friends. It's PBR time (Professional Bull Riding)...Stacy really loves it! and being her friend I have to support her in her cause and tag along. Ha!
Then I'm planning a trip for the end of August to visit my mom for a few days in Florida to check up on her and see how she's doing. Then after that I'm back to New York City with Fonda for 4 nights. Can't wait...I love that city and I love getting away. I know a fun time awaits.
So...maybe I have been a little busy, especially if you throw in those 4 grandbabies...who by the way are doing wonderful. I saw Hayden a week ago Friday and she's also planned to visit this weekend...Liam who I saw on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and then Colton and Tayler whom I saw tonight. And for those of you who've kept up with Tammy on her blog...let me share with you...Tayler within 5 minutes of me being there threw up "ALL" over me. I came into the house with a t-shirt on that said "This is what a really cool Grandma looks like" to leaving with a t-shirt on that said "Mommy To Be" (one of Tammy's t-shirts). I was so hoping I wouldn't run into any neighbors upon arriving home....and I didn't.
So...that wraps things up a little....not a lot but some....Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hopefully the next post will be a little more exciting and maybe next time I'll have my pictures down loaded and can share those babies with you... Until then..."It Is What It Is".

July 4th weekend
We gathered at "The Beach House" for the holiday.
Some stayed longer than others.
I'm still here trying to relax and clean up the mess. I think tomorrow I will head back home...on Friday I will watch Hayden while her Mommy and Daddy go to work.
Here is Josh Hayden...her first time to the beach...she loved the water coming up and getting her feet wet.
And Colton ....I didn't get any sand castle pictures of him. Tammy would take him to play while I watched Tayler while she slept. Kyle had to work so he didn't join us.

Greetings from the beach
I made it to "The Beach House"...I have the truck unloaded except for a couple of things in boxes...I have all the cold stuff put away....I still have the rest of the groceries to put up....I went and picked up the ice....Bailey (my dog) has been down to the beach and now taking a nap...the washer has been delivered and I have washed 2 loads so far....I am on the deck relaxing...at 5 o'clock I poured a drink because after all it is 5 o'clock... so far life is good.
Oh...and earlier I saw this mosquito truck spraying a yard across the road from me and then he went to another house 2 doors down so....I got Bailey and we walked across the road and I said I live right there and figured since your right here maybe you could come and spray or do I need to make an appointment through the office...the one dude said let me ask the boss man so he asked the boss man (mind you they are both somewhere between 25-28)...the boss man goes we are booked solid between now and the 4th and we are busy all day I don't think we can fit it in cause our schedule is real busy...so I said well since your right here and I live right there how about a little extra on the side to get it done...and the boss man says...Happy 4th ma'am...Ha! the other guy goes...man you know how to do it don't you....my response...I was taught very well. So, the area has been sprayed and I shouldn't have a worry around the house for 30 days and all the kids and grand kids won't have mosquito's to bitch about. They can get pretty bad around here....one day nothing...the next day it's like an invasion.
